Tenor Humberto Borboa, originally from Mexicali, Mexico, earned a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Arizona in May 2014 and a B.M. from Escuela Superior de Canto de Mazatlan in 2012. 

Mr. Borboa, a 2013 Arizona´s District winner from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Audition made his professional debut in 2009 with Sociedad Artística Sinaloense in Mexico, singing the solo tenor role in Carl Orff’s "Carmina Burana” since then  has actively performed throughout Mexico, as well as appearances in Antigua, Guatemala, Austria, Chicago, Italy and the Czech Republic.  The "Arizona Daily Star" praised Mr. Borboa as a “powerfully graceful and bright tenor” after his interpretation of Alfredo Germont from Verdi´s La Traviata, at the University of Arizona opera theater´s fall 2012.  Most recently appeared as Ferrando in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte with Opera Theatre of the Rockies and with the Arapahoe Philharmonic as the tenor soloist in Mozart's Requiem. Currently based in Denver, Colorado is the Co-funder of the Art song Consort of Denver, a project fully intended to promote and explore the Art Song Repertoire.
